{"id":4424,"date":"2014-04-23T23:52:50","date_gmt":"2014-04-24T02:52:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/greenpowerlabs.com\/uncategorized-cn\/engineers-nova-scotia-recognizes-green-power-labs-support\/"},"modified":"2014-04-23T23:52:50","modified_gmt":"2014-04-24T02:52:50","slug":"engineers-nova-scotia-recognizes-green-power-labs-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greenpowerlabs.com\/cn\/engineers-nova-scotia-recognizes-green-power-labs-support\/","title":{"rendered":"Engineers Nova Scotia Recognizes Green Power Labs\u2019 Support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Engineers Nova Scotia recognized 11 Nova Scotia companies on Thursday for their support of Internationally Educated Engineers (IEEs).\u00a0 Green Power Labs is honored to be one of the recipients of this recognition.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cEngineers Nova Scotia and Engineers Canada along with ISIS (Immigrant Settlement and Integration Services) and the Nova Scotia Department of Labor and Advanced Education created work placement performance assessment for engineers whose primary education and work experience was outside of Canada\u201d explained Claudette Legault of ISIS.\u00a0 \u201cThis program along with our bridging program for IEEs had been very successful; 80% of participants were hired in their field following the completion of the program, 8 are preparing to write the National Professional Practice exam and another 15 are preparing their applications for licensure with Engineers Nova Scotia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGreen Power Labs has been involved in a volunteer capacity providing advice and direction to a number of engineers and we are pleased to have been involved in a number of work placements.\u00a0 We recently hired two internationally educated engineers to develop and enhance our predictive analytics software-as-a-service applications.
