Engineers Nova Scotia Recognizes Green Power Labs’ Support

Engineers Nova Scotia recognized 11 Nova Scotia companies on Thursday for their support of Internationally Educated Engineers (IEEs).  Green Power Labs is honored to be one of the recipients of this recognition.

“Engineers Nova Scotia and Engineers Canada along with ISIS (Immigrant Settlement and Integration Services) and the Nova Scotia Department of Labor and Advanced Education created work placement performance assessment for engineers whose primary education and work experience was outside of Canada” explained Claudette Legault of ISIS.  “This program along with our bridging program for IEEs had been very successful; 80% of participants were hired in their field following the completion of the program, 8 are preparing to write the National Professional Practice exam and another 15 are preparing their applications for licensure with Engineers Nova Scotia.”

“Green Power Labs has been involved in a volunteer capacity providing advice and direction to a number of engineers and we are pleased to have been involved in a number of work placements.  We recently hired two internationally educated engineers to develop and enhance our predictive analytics software-as-a-service applications. Because we offer services in a global market, our team requires in-depth knowledge of grid operations around the world, “said GPLI CEO Dr. Alexandre Pavlovski. “These new hires add knowledge and perspective to make our company competitive in the global marketplace.”
