Greening the World’s Cities: Earth Day 2014

  • -

According to the World Health Organization by 2030, 6 out of every 10 people will live in a city, and by 2050, this proportion will increase to 7 out of 10 people. For this reason, Earth Day 2014 Green Cities’ theme on smart investments in sustainable technology, forward-thinking public policy, and an educated and active public is very apt.

“At Green Power Labs’ we too believe the cities and their citizens have a leading role to play in building a sustainable future,” commented Dr. Alexandre Pavlovski, President and CEO of Green Power Labs Inc. “And as the world becoming increasingly urbanized, millions of rooftops become a perfect place to create a green, sustainable, secure energy supply.”

To support this movement, Green Power Labs’ free SolarRating Online is now available in English, French, Spanish and Mandarin. This simple but powerful online program educates around the possibilities of solar as an energy source for electricity and heating domestic hot water. “It shapes a savvy solar energy consumer” Pavlovski said. “New technology is often alarming to buyers but SolarRating Online gives consumers sufficient knowledge to understand key elements in the buying decision and that alone can change options for energy consumers.”
Pavlovski concluded “to understand the possibilities for solar technology on your rooftop, visit www.solarrating.ca
