Solar Suitability Assessment of Empire Theatres Facilities


Theatre facilities use energy for domestic hot water, space heating and electrical services. The objective of this solar study was to determine the role solar water heating technology can play in the energy mix of three commercial facilities. The assessment identified the domestic hot water requirements of theatres, restaurants and mall facilities, the potential value and determinants in using solar water heating technologies in existing commercial buildings, and the impact of energy pricing in the three Provinces which were included in this study.
