An objective of this site’s development was to promote sustainable building practice, both through integrating practical methods for conservation, efficiency and use of renewable energy, and through demonstrating emerging renewable technologies. Green Power Labs conducted a solar suitability assessment of the project and recommended the locations for solar energy systems. Subsequently, we were retained to engineer a demonstration solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation system for the building. The scope of work included system design, assistance during procurement and installation, and final commissioning.
