In June 2013, the Halifax Chamber set a goal to become one of Canada’s top 3 growth cities by 2018. By the end of 2015, Halifax had moved from 7th to 4th place. The Chamber attributes this remarkable success to the business community’s “growth champions”. Recently the Chamber recognized Green Power Labs CEO, Dr. Alexandre Pavlovski as its newest Growth Champion.
“We are pleased to be awarded this recognition” said Marlene Moore, VP Marketing at Green Power Labs. “We certainly support the idea of growth champions as we firmly believe new graduates and new Canadians are instrumental in driving our company’s innovation in the emerging field of managing the transition to a cleaner, more efficient energy future,” Moore added. “The diversity of knowledge, of personal backgrounds creates a unique space in our company. We hire professional people and their personal biography is an additional asset to us; not a challenge to be overcome” Pavlovski said when accepting the award.
